DETAILS OF OUR BOLTED SILO'S

Experience in the industry has led to the design concept where we alleviate the following negative factors in conventional welded silo's:

  • Manufacturing cost where huge pieces of steelwork has to be handled to built - impossible without crane facilities
  • Craneage costs to load silo at manufacturer
  • Exhorbitant transport costs to get the silo delivered to site
  • Depending on the size silo - the need to use a large crane to erect ( a conventional 73m3 silo is 10m plus high )
  • Should the silo no longer be needed, most of the above costs come into effect again should you want to move or sell the silo

  • Our design allows for the silo to be fabricated much easier and quicker with more detail and precision
  • A complete 73m3 silo (cement = 100t ) can be transported on a 6t truck - most users of silo's have their own 6 or 8t truck. when crated a 73m3 silo comes in a box 3.2m x 1.7m x 0.8m. when erected it is less than 7m high ( less windload and much quicker to fill )
  • To erect our silo you need a much smaller crane - it is a simple operation to pre-assemble the units ready for craneage
  • You can extend your silo at any time at minimal cost - simply unbolt the "roof' and add another module
  • To move the unit again is a simple operation
  • Our supply includes all standard accessories
